Marion Dutton

Originally from Bury in the North West of England, artist and author Marion Dutton has fast become one of the internet’s most popular painting instructors due to her wonderfully patient, encouraging and easy-to-follow teaching style.

After 18 years working as an AAT qualified accountant, Marion rekindled her love of painting in 2005 whilst buying art materials for one of her children’s school projects. She later completed a Valerie Stewart Portrait Seminar in 2010, as well as an Alexander Certified Art Instructor Course in 2011 before going on to complete the Bob Ross Floral and Landscape Certification programmes in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Marion’s deep-rooted dedication to developing her skills is such that it enables her to teach virtually all aspects of art & in all the main mediums of oils, acrylics & watercolours. As the founder of MazArt Studio, her fame quickly accelerated once she began teaching art online via 'Art Tutor’ and ‘The Society for All Artists (SAA) as well as numerous demonstrations at the famed SAA live London events. Even though her first love is portraiture & pet portraiture using oils, no medium or subject matter is beyond her enthusiasm and her love of art shines through in everything she does.

From her beautiful studio in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, Marion still continues to welcome private commissions whilst hosting regular painting courses and workshops suitable for all skill levels. Her engaging and easy-to-follow tuition attracts countless students from all over the UK, Ireland and Scotland, as well as thousands of painting enthusiasts from across the globe who follow the MazArt online tutorials and YouTube channel. The one reoccurring compliment always aimed at Marion is her ability to simplify art tuition, empowering even the most beginner students to love art & achieve great painting success.
